Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Free Download for PC Full Version
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is the very first military shooter in a massive open world that you can play entirely solo or in four-player co-op.
TAKE DOWN THE CARTEL
A few years from now, Bolivia has become the largest cocaine producer in the world. The Santa Blanca cartel has turned the country into a narco-state. As a Ghost, you must stop the cartel by any means necessary.
BECOME A GHOST
Create and fully customize your Ghost, weapons, and gear. Enjoy a total freedom of playstyle. Lead your team and take down the cartel, either solo or with up to three friends.
Journey through Ubisoft’s largest action-adventure open world. Discover the stunning diverse landscapes of the Wildlands both on and off road, in the air, on land and at sea with over 60 different vehicles.
Taking out the Santa Blanca Cartel becomes an even richer experience with Tobii Eye Tracking. I’ll just go ahead and say it right away; I enjoy this game despite all its flaws. Especially with a 4-player group, the stupid antics you can get up to is hilarious.
A lot of what this game does, it does great. The stealth is nice (even though I wish that Ghillie suits would have an effect past being just cosmetic, enemies will still not see you if you’re prone in brush in the shade till they step on you no matter if you have ghillie or are wearing casual combat clothes.), the open world feels massive, though a bit empty at times. The guns feel nice too.
However, any problems with the game in my experience comes down to how the game switches between realism and video game logic too often. Let’s go through the list of what, at least to me, isn’t that realistic.
Enemies know exactly where you are at nearly all times. This applies in all modes, and you can give it a test as well; fire a shot while in foliage with a suppressed weapon in a prone position (as well as in shade). Despite catching whoever you likely fired past off-guard, he knows exactly where you are and will radio everyone your location. Wait a little while and despite only the guy you shot at knowing where he was shot from, everyone will single-file line up to march straight towards you rather than fan out to search for you.
AIs are too accurate. Yeah yeah yeah, you should use cover, bla bla bla. This mostly stems from how a cartel member with dual Mac-11s can snipe you perfectly with the entirety of his magazines. You’ll even see his trail of bullets having no spread to them if you’re flying a chopper above him. ALso let’s not forget that they can throw a grenade 100 meters up a mountain to you.
Vehicle physics. Yeah, it’s likely starting to become like beating a dead horse, but the vehicles feel like you’re on an ice skating rink a lot of the time. It should be like this on dirt roads, yes, but on actual developed roads, you still handle poorly. Helicopter controls take a little bit to get used to, but helicopters cannot be used offensively, at least when it comes to helicopter weapons. Due to the controls, you cannot provide ground support in a helo except for strafing runs, and let’s face it; the Cartel are likely going to survive the one or two bullets they receive. Airplanes are fine, since they’re really only used for flying supply drops; they’d be more of an issue if you had to do some fighting in them.
Explosions have too huge hitboxes for helicopters. Now, let me preface this by saying that yes, I know explosives are supposed to be devastating. But the helicopter’s blades are also considered as the helo’s main hitbox, so if a grenade goes off 10 feet from the chopper, with only the tip of its blade being caught in the explosion, the helicopter will explode because of it.
Bullet ballistics. Yeah, there’s bullet drop. However, I feel like it’s too much, especially for sniper rifles. I’m fairly confident in saying that a 50-cal sniper shouldn’t start dropping as early as it does, and as fast. It’d make more sense if we’re using subsonic rounds, but it’s never mentioned that we are using said rounds. Also, bullet penetration mechanics are quite unrealistic at times; some guns (most of the time with suppressors) can’t penetrate through camo netting or chain-link fences because they’re somehow treated as solid objects.
As I said at the beginning, I love playing this even with its flaws and bugs. I’d recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat, especially for those looking for a good co-op experience.
Edit: Well, I should have mentioned something about the campaign too, hah. The story behind the game is pretty cool and is pretty awesome to go through, though the whole “one province to a Buchon” is a bit of a videogame cliche. Though there is a certain boss that has a past with you that they could’ve expanded upon a bit more, made him feel a lot more like he’s related to your past rather than just yet another Buchon you have to kill with a file (and your character) telling how he’s related to your past.
Overall, I feel like this game is worth a try and with combining beta hours to this, I have logged 21 hours and feel as if this game still isn’t stale and should be on to pickup, albiet, if skeptical (beyond anything, even after looking up gameplay), definitely wait for a sale.
